The sons set out from home -- to Boston! -- eyes dancing with visions of rock glory, hearts hammering uptempo and youthful beats. After assimilation in the promised land, this self-produced and solid-throughout ep emerges first.

Featuring a pair of intersequenced songs from each of the primary vocalists, the record strikes a balance of style unseen on previous SoJG releases, laying the foundation for works to come. "Static" the opener, perhaps the band's signature single, garners a good deal of local radio play and proves to be the band's first blip on Beantown's radar. Urgent, edgy, and imbued with a memorable high-string hook, the song tops Glennies' all-time lists to date.

The remaining songs, sisters vying for a suitor's hand, each presents itself as a prize to behold. "Basement" is subterranean social anxiety projected to its logical conclusion. "Start" is another rocker, its sound perhaps more a specimen of the 1990s sensibility than the others (note the rhythms of the bridge), hurrying towards the beginning again. "Going To The Beach", an eastern seaboard epic of postwar automobile leisure for the working class, offers the couplet of the record: i got my brown reclining chair / i can't wait 'til i get there...
